How it works

• Pyodide — CPython compiled to WebAssembly — runs in a dedicated Web Worker so heavy code can't freeze the UI.
• Monaco Editor (the engine behind VS Code) gives you syntax highlighting, brackets, indenting, and keyboard shortcuts.
• Auto-package install — write import numpy and the worker fetches it on first use.
• Progress is kept in localStorage. Clear your browser and it's gone — there is no server-side record.
• Sharing encodes your snippet in the URL hash. No database, no leaks.

Tradeoffs you should know

• First lesson loads ~10 MB of Pyodide runtime. After that it's cached.
• Stopping a run terminates the worker — Python state (variables, imports) resets.
• Pyodide can't do everything CPython can. Some C-extensions aren't available; networking is limited to what the browser allows.
